The Durian with a Heart

A couple of days ago while shopping at Woolworths supermarket, he spotted this:

heart-shaped durian

heart-shaped durian

Durians are half-priced now compared to their most expensive time (which is still considered expensive in Sg/M’sia land), but how often do you see a durian shaped like that? Needless to say, he bought it.

mmm

mmm

Because it was still frozen then (and we had plenty of experiences with half-frozen durians), we left it out for a a couple of days and the result today was yummy tender bitter-sweet durian flesh.

is durian here nice ? i’m skeptical about buying durian in Melb.. haha

  2. haha ya funny shaped durian!! have you ever bought here before?? i think i’ve eaten 10+ durians in my time here, and always ranging experiences. nothing especially good, but lots of tasteless ones i must say. i don’t think woolworths are the best place to buy durians, i think maybe places like footscray market or smth might be better! but well what to do, we love durians. hehe.
